  1. Airport Bus 101 : 45-min bus ride. 7-minute walk from lodging bus stop or car pick-up if requested.

  2. Self-Driving

Expected Schedule

5AM : Depart

6AM :  Arrive at Seongpanak Entrance 

11AM : White Deer Lake Summit

4PM : Public Bus for early dinner

6PM : Bus back to accommodation

About the Trail 

Distance and Duration ascending
> Seongpanak Trail (9.6 km / 4.5 hours)

> Gwaneumsa Trail (8.7 km / 5 hours)

We’ll hike up the Seongpanak Trail and come down the Gwaneumsa Trail.

While the trails are well-paved and not technically difficult, some sections are rocky and may be challenging for beginners. Be sure to wear shoes with good traction.

There are rest stops with toilets, but no food or drinks sold.

Suggested Packing List (carry as little as possible)

  • Hiking clothes: Comfortable, quick-drying, and breathable.

  • Gloves: Useful for gripping ropes or stair railings.

  • Hat & Sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm: it’s sunny up there.

  • Hiking boots or shoes: Good grip and with good ankle support.

  • Gaiters: for winter snow only

  • Daypack: Comfortable and lightweight.

  • Trekking poles: Optional, but useful for stability on uneven terrain.

  • Toilet paper

  • Water bottles or hydration pack: At least 2 liters of water.

  • Snacks/food: Energy bars, fruit, nuts, or sandwiches for the hike. There are no food services along the trails.

  • Sunscreen and lip balm: The sun can be intense even at higher altitudes.

  • Rain cover for your backpack: In case of sudden showers.

  • Face mask or buff: To protect against sun, wind or dust.

  • Towel: For wiping off sweat.
